HIV-Status

2. Will the health inspectors visits my home and ask me questions about my status?

Every patient that visit any doctor and records made out of the visit is automatically treated in confidence (law states this has a fact).

However if the doctor is on the panel to your organizations, there are certain rules and regulations that individual has to check with their company or with the panel doctor.

In government hospitals all HIV positive patients records are treated as security files, which mean it is locked up separately.

Without any proper authorities no one is allowed to view or disclose one’s status.

So NO the “health inspector” or anyone else will visit you without your approval (if visit is schedule then the health inspector will call you first).
